The Qatar World Cup 2022 Opening Ceremony Details

Qatar World Cup 2022 started with a grand and different opening ceremony. Qatar World Cup 2022 is the 22nd edition of World Cup football. Qatar's Islamic heritage and culture were showcased through dance and song at the opening ceremony at the Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar.

France's former football defender Marcel Desailly, who won the 1998 World Cup, posed next to the Football World Cup trophy. The World Cup trophy is kept in a showcase at the Al Bayt Stadium.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony

After this episode, veteran and popular American actor Morgan Freeman came on stage. He briefly talks about the history, route, and circuit of the Football World Cup. He was accompanied by popular Qatari YouTuber and celebrity Ghanim Al Muftah. Muftah inaugurated the FIFA World Cup by reciting verses from the Quran. Ghanim Al Muftah is a physically challenged boy.

After Morgan Freeman left the stage, the song started again. The artists came wearing different traditional clothes of Qatar. It was accompanied by music and lighting. The artists were holding traditional Qatari swords. At the Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar, a variety of interesting displays continue with the music. These are accompanied by moments including theme songs from previous World Cups.


The performers danced in the flags and jerseys of all the 32 countries participating in the Qatar Football World Cup 2022. The gallery filled the audience with various performances. Famous pop singer Ricky Martin's 'Ale! Ale! Ale!’ song is also widely performed.

After that, pop singer Shakira's song 'Waka Waka' was also performed at the 2010 Football World Cup opening ceremony. Apart from this, the song 'Ole Ola' sung by Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez was also performed at the World Cup. Which was sung at the 2014 World Cup.


Jungkook, the youngest member of the popular South Korean music band BTS, performed 'Dreamers', the official song of the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Qatari singer Fahad Al Qubaishi sang more songs with Jungkook.

Finally, Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani welcomed the gallery-filled audience. He said, "People forget all the differences and see this unity and similarity! Welcome to Doha, the capital of Qatar."

The biggest surprise of the Qatar World Cup event was the thousands of fireworks that flashed light. Qatar's Al Bayt Stadium is lit up with these fireworks. All in all, the Qatar Football World Cup 2022 has been launched in a royal fashion.
