12 Recommended Settings For Basic On-Page SEO

When we launch a new blog or website it needs the first SEO touch. This is called On page SEO techniques. These SEO settings are only for applying into webpage.
Today we are going to discuss the prime On-page SEO techniques which is very important for proper On-Page search engine optimization.

On-Page Basic SEO Formula

1. Domain Name

Domain name is very important for a blog or website. It is the primary URL of your blog. So, it is very important to choose your domain name very carefully. For example: If your blog niche is about technology and you choose a domain name "www.FreeSoftware.com" then you will be drop from SERP. So, as one part of Google algorithm you must be select search engine friendly and blog niche domain name URL.


2. Blog Title and Post Titles

In your blogger template, between <title> </title> tags add your blog’s main title. Name your page by using proper and rich keywords. Make sure it is not extending too much. Never use “Page 01” “Untitled” or any other non meaningful words. This is totally wrong SEO practice. The most important thing is, it will be the title in search engine result pages. See below...

3. Meta Description

It is the 160 characters long description for your blog. You can see the description in search engine result page. If you do not add description, search engine will take some words from your blog and use as description in results page. So, it is very important to make a custom page description. Make it simple, 160 characters long and use rich class keyword phrase.

4. Meta Keywords

We know that without proper and most searchable keywords a blog is worthless. Keywords are the main section of SEO. This is only visible for search engine spiders. Some meta keyword tricks are as follows:
Never apply same keyword twice time.
Use targeted keyword phrases.
Avoid high competition class keywords.
Update your keywords frequently.
Try to use short tail keyword/ keyword phrases.

5. Allow to index and follow

If you do not mention index and follow option in your template then search engine robots will not index your pages in their database frequently. Then you will be loosing a large number of visitors from search engine pages.


6. Heading tags

Heading tags used for search engine spiders to mention the importance of headlines. Heading tags start from <h1> and end to <h6>.
H1 is very important, H2 is the second important etc. I recommend to use H1 tag for your main blog title, H2 tag for your post titles, H3 tag for your widget titles.

7. Contents

As I say always, Content is the king for a blog. To gain success you have to update your blog with unique and latest posts regularly.
Try to keep your post’s words minimum 400 – 500.
Use your main keywords in the article about 3-4 times.
Never apply too much keyword. This will mark you as a spammer.
If your post has more than 500 words then use your keywords 5-7 times.
Overall keyword density should not be more than 3%.
Make your post easy to read and understand for your readers.
Set your post alignment to justify.


8. Internal Backlinks

Use interlinking from one post to other posts. This will help to reduce your blog’s bounce rate and also increase your page views. Keep in mind to use relevant keyword phrases.
Wikipedia is a big example for inter linking.


9. Image Optimization:

10. Sitemap

Make a site map for your all blog posts. This will help for your readers to navigate your first to last blog posts very easily. We have a sitemap for all of this blog posts and we update it manually whenever a new post is published.
You should add your blog’s XML sitemaps in Google webmaster tools for more better crawling and analyzing.

11. Anchor text

Anchor text mainly used for linking to other posts from one post with proper keyword phrases.
For example: Top SEO tricks for beginners. Free Blogger Plugins etc. Never use Click here, Visit this link or See more info instead of relevant keywords.

12. Page load time

Page load time is very important for a blog, because now Google prefer it very much. Sites which take too much time to load will be penalized by search engines. Try to keep simple your pages, never use big background instead of solid color. Avoid flash videos, lots of advertisements and big scripts. Check your server, is it working perfectly? You can check your page load time on Google’s PageSpeed Tools. If your score less than 80 then customize the following elements discussed above.
